A tongue (firmly) in cheek look at proud parenting

Today is just one of those days where it feel good to be a parent! As I bask in the achievements of my children I, like many parents before, take all the glory for my children's success!

Today my eldest son passed his driver's licence test - at the first go! I hear of so many others who have to go through the test 2, 3, 4 and even 5 times before they pass. Then I wonder what terrible parents they must have! It is quite obvious that Flavia and I have done something right!

And last night we watched our other son, all of 13 years old, lead a band called "Bliss" at their school as they rocked everyone to two of their own compositions. They were marvellous but, of course, my son was the best musician there! If only the other children had the same genes and parents as our remarkable children!

However, I now know the following. I (and my wife, of course) will have to drive all over taking the band to different gigs and practices. This will all be done in one of our two cars because the other car will be . . . somewhere in the hands of a newly-licenced driver!
Oh the perilious priviledges of proud parents!
